The Wayland Recorder 1977, Issues 17 to 24
One of the inspirations behind starting of The Wayland News was another independent local paper launched in April 1977, the Wayland Recorder. Owned, managed and produced by Mr Keith Gilbert, the Wayland Recorder was a considerable undertaking which was a four page paper produced weekly but sadly did not survive. However, I am fortunate to have both a full set of copies that I have digitised and also the permission of Keith to reproduce here.
They are a fantastic contemporary record of Watton in the latter half of the 1970s and I am very grateful to Keith for his cooperation in allowing me to use his work here. Please click on the front page thumbnails to read each issue.
