Approx 40 Christmas Meals were again delivered to needy Watton area residents on 23 December, prepared by Jacob Weatherill and his staff at Florintina Catering, Watton.

The meals consisted of roast turkey, roast potatoes, assorted vegetables, stuffing and gravy, all delivered in a thermal container so the food just needed reheating, and followed by a mince pie and cream, also included as previously kindly donated by Watton Bakery.

The project was co-ordinated by Rotarian Paul Weatherill, and the deliveries were made by a volunteer group from St Mary’s Church, Watton and Watton Rotary Club.

St Mary’s Church provided the list of local residents, who were on there own over Christmas and couples who were having difficulty cooking.

Several Thank You cards have been received from very grateful local residents.
